Singapore in less than 24 hours (Almost 20km Walking + Running Distance!!)

Well, actually this isn't my first time to spend less than 24 hours in Singapore, but the last time was purely business trip.  This time I got more free time and got to see the place I have never been before in Singapore.  I have been in this country for 2-3 times but had never got the chance to visit neither Universal Studio or Gardens by the Bay. I know, I know..

So, I chose to go to Gardens by the bay, mostly because everybody has been there and it's no.1 tourist trap in the country? Haha.  But, before we get into that I need to write down something that happened before I flew to Singapore.

Here we go..

I almost missed my flight! And it’s just really stupid!!

I always manage my travel quite well, I know exactly when to leave my house to reach the airport on time and such and such ..then what happened? I did leave home early, I arrived at the airport 2 hours earlier. So, my plane departed from Terminal 3 Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, which is the new modern, enormous, sophisticated airport of ours, hahahah. It’s not my first time there, but not sure why I was so amazed that after I checked in, I didn’t go straight to the immigration counter, instead I wandered around looking for something to drink (for 1 hour!!) and ended up in Starbucks -,- I know right.

Man, I was so stupid, as if it were my first experience traveling abroad. I thought the boarding gate was just around the corner, but nooooooo, when it’s already boarding time, I was like an idiot looking around for the gate, then there it is ‘International Departure’ sign; no, I was not panic..yet.

Then, I realized, shit...another x-ray checking! Then immigration, fvck! People stood in long line, I swear I almost cried. Then, I did something I’d never have done, I asked people to allow me to go first because it's already ‘Final Call’ for my flight. Of course, they let me, but I’m not that person who cut lines!

Anyways, Immigration - checked. Then, I had to run to the gate which was in another part of the airport - no, but it’s really faaaaarrrrr and I ran wearing my notable, precious, loyal Adidas Stan Smith wedges (3.5”). It was effing painfuuuuulll T.T

My heart rate went up as if I were in cycling class at the gym, not only that, I felt a little bit tingling while running, strange.

While I was running there, my mind ran wild lol..no, I just told myself how ridiculous it’d be if I missed the flight and more stupid when I told my friends in Singapore the reason.

But, God still loves me, haha. I reached the plane, dripped in sweat, dehydrated and a little bit embarrassed. Luckily, the plane arrived in Singapore early, so I didn’t cause any delay. Fyuuuhhh.  Never, ever, ever, ever wandering around at the airport until you pass immigration counter. Never, just don't do it, okay!

When I arrived my friend already waited for me outside, then we went straight to the French restaurant in Duxton Hill, Chinatown, it's called L'EntrecĂ´te Steak and Fries Bistro.  I had never eaten in French restaurant before, so it's pretty exciting.  I love the food, now here comes the pictures.

Paris Brest with a scoop of Profiteroles :p

It was a satisfying lunch, even though we didn't order any main course.

And after lunch, we went to Gardens by the Bay in Marina area.  So, you guys know it already, since it's very famous for its giant trees and all.  It has many attractions such as Flower Dome, Cloud Forest, Dragonfly and Kingfisher Lakes, Heritage Garden etc etc...for further details please visit Gardens by the Bay

I only managed to visit Flower Dome, Cloud Forest, Heritage Garden and Kingfisher Lakes because I was already very exhausted, running and walking on 3.5" wedges heels.  Also, it was a very hot day, so I get tired faster than normally haha, bad reasoning.

1.  Flower Dome

It's the largest glass greenhouse in the world as listed in the 2015 Guinness World Records, it has numerous collection of plants and trees from all over the world, from Mediterranian to South American and Australia.

 2. Cloud Forest

Okay, this one is that conservatory with the waterfall, you know...that water coming out from a tree-like building hahahah..geez I'm really bad at this.  It's quite impressive, but  I was not in awe. :p

This one!!

Viserion :p

Marina Bay Sands Hotel

Dragonfly & Kingfisher Lakes

One thing I really like about Gardens by the Bay is the whole conservatories are full of ac, if not I'd probably pass out due to overheating, lol jk.  But back to humid sweaty weather again when you step outside.  To be honest, I was really tired that time that I was not really in the mood for snapping pictures here and there, tired due to working overtime on the weekend, tired due to morning run on 3.5" wedges heels and I didn't have enough sleep lately.

So, that's it! lol no, but yeah that's pretty much it, Later that afternoon, I went to Marina Baysands to meet up with my friend who was kindly accomodating her time to be my guide for the evening and took me to the shops where I want to buy things :D She must be exhausted catering my needs that evening, so for @amaliaputri thank you so much! It was a nice catch-up :D

And yeah, according to Health apps in my iPhone, it's 19kms something of walking and running distance from 14th to 15th morning. I know right!!!  And although it's very humid in Singapore, I still wore leather, because leather every damn day, right?!

Top : Uniqlo
Skirt : ONLY
Shoes : Adidas Stan Smith Wedges
Mini Backpack : Coach

Then I went back to Jakarta again tomorrow morning, but this time around I was luckier because I didn't have to run to the boarding gate :p  After I arrived in my beloved hometown, I went straight to home, changed clothes then went to the office.  Talking about dedication here! lol.
